Blizzard Survey Hints that "Diablo 2: Resurrected" Might Support Assigned Drops and a Charms Inventory

Potential new features coming to the remake of diablo II: Lord of Destruction

Blizzard has emailed out a survey of questions about existing games, upcoming games and the recent Blizzconline that happened back in February.

During the survey, users were asked about their previous experience with existing Blizzard Games. If you answered to have experience on class Diablo 2, some interesting questions started surfacing about your particular interest in some new features. The first new one to present itself was about Personal Loot.

Personal Loot instead of free-for-all loot
Blizzard asks users if they are interested in balancing changes to skills, personal loot instead of free for all loot, and balancing changes to items.

Personal loot was introduced back on the release of Diablo 3. This changed the way users would see items dropping in that it used to be a free-for-all. Users would scramble to grab the boss drops and generally would be picked off by bots or whoever was closest to the boss at the time of defeat.

The other interesting question was about a Charm Inventory.

Dedicated charm inventory
Users could show interest on a variety of topics such as a dedicated charm inventory, or auto-gold pickup.

Charms have been around for a while, but as Blizzard started adding new unique charms via patches that limited each player to only one, inventory real-estate became very limited. Adding a dedicated inventory that wouldn't cost users in the same way the regular inventory was used would be interesting to see.
